Routine Adult Immunizations:
The choice to receive an immunization is always a personal one. For those healthy adults interested in adding immunizations to their plan to prevent disease we provide information and counseling on current national immunization standards. In general, the following adult immunization schedule is considered by our patients.
- An annual Flu Shot
- A Tetanus shot booster at least every 10 years
- A Pertussus (Whooping Cough) booster every 10 years
- For Some people a 3 doses series of Hepatitis B Vaccine over a period of less than 1 year
- One Pneumococcal (Pneumonia) Vaccine after age 65
- One Zoster (Shingles) Vaccine after age 60
- A 3 doses series of Human papillomavirus (HPV) to females under age 26
- For some people one or more lifetime Meningococcal Vaccine (meningitis) doses
